After I came home from playing it at my friends, I biked down to
Wal-Mart, the cheapest store around. As soon as I got into the electronics,
there it was, GoldenEye! 2 copies left! I put one on hold, went back got
my money and picked it up. When I got there, the other copy was sold, I
quickly bought it. When I got home, my friend was there, we ran down
stairs and turned it on, and there it was, 007 in action!

GoldenEye 007 is arguably the best game for the N64. It has flawless
graphics and smooth game play. You actually fell like you're sneaking
around the rooms, taking out guards, rumble pak included! The music
is perfect, sounds like the original James Bond themes with some new
added stuff too. The only thing is that there's hardly any talking, if this
game was by Mr. Miyamotto, there would be lots more, but hey, who talks
allot when you're trying to escape?

The graphics are polygonal, but they are very, very good! When you're
looking through the Sniper Rifle's scope, and you're looking at the people
far away, it looks soooo real! I love it! The weapons look really good,
as usual, and the explosions are nicely done. The only thing I noticed is
Boris's face (the computer guy) is well, too polygonal and too angled.
He looks like he does in the movie, with the exception of his slanted
face. The enemies disappear in the ground after they die like Turok,
but that way you don't have tons of bodies to walk over. . .

Like I said, the music is 100% good. It's perfect. They have the original
James Bond 007 theme and some other ones, and it sounds real good.
I'm so glad Rare got permission to use those themes! Well, there's not
much I can say about the music, except it's better than Star Fox. . . I
think it has the best music ever for an N64 game, second would have
to be Mario, with the old themes made new (I love the first and second
Bowser themes!) Back to GoldenEye. . .

The control is very simple, sort of like Turok, but I think better. If you
hold down R you can aim with your scope, if you have one, or just a
target. It depends what gun you have, like the Sniper Rifle has a very
good scope and you can zoom in and out, and normal guns only have a
target, that stays the same distance. You can duck, lean (strafe) and,
well do lots of stuff. The can also configure the controls to what you want.

This game is very fun! There's TONS of stuff to do, and there's 3
difficulties; Agent, Secret Agent, and 00 Agent. The harder you go, the
more stuff you do in the missions, for an example: in level 2, you have
to find a key for a plane, and fly it out in easy. In secret agent you have
to do one more thing and you get the option of riding a tank! In 00 agent,
you to do more stuff. Also the harder you go, the smarter the enemies
are, and the harder it is. To make you play even more, there are cheat
codes! To access them you have to complete certain levels in a certain
amount of time. If you pass the game, depends what difficulty you're
playing, you'll get a special gun. If you beat the game on 00 agent, you
open up a mode called 007 Agent! The is a level editor, you can customize
tons of stuff! This proves that you lots to do! Want to hear more? Well,
ok, there's a multiplayer mode too! Up to four players. You can choose
from lots of levels, I think you can access more if you do some stuff in
one player. You can choose from lots of characters, including Boris, 006,
and lots more. There's lots of game modes too including normal, you only
live twice, the man with the golden gun, license to kill, and team work
like 2 vs. 2, 3 vs. 1 and more. This is a must buy if you're either a James
Bond fan, shooter fan, puzzle/action fan. You don't just blow every
thing that moves, you have to use you're head, not you're guns. I think
it is very, very, very fun!!

+ Plus: Superb graphics, music, game play, and most of all: FUN!!! - Minus: No speaking = Equals: Great game, in fact, one of the best games ever on the N64!!!!!!
