Surprisingly, when I went to rent it, all the copies were in, and it was after supper on Friday! For you people who wanted 2-D games, here's your chance! It is more of a 2-1/2 D game, you move in 2-D but it seems like 3-D. It's really weird at first, but once you get the hang of the controls, it's really fun! The graphics are great. They have no polygons, at least it looks like it. Because this is a 2-1/2 D game, the backgrounds are very good, and same with every thing else. It has no glitchy polygons, or pop-ups, so the graphics are very clear and smooth. It looks like a cartoon if you ask me. Mischief Makers has a great sound library! It has some voice samples, not like Star Fox though, like Marina, the Inter-Galactic Super Cyborg G (how ever that goes) is the person you control for most of the game has some voice through-out the game - not grunts and stuff like Mario. The music is pretty good too, not lame like Star Fox, it seems actually, very good! The control is very strange at first, but after awhile, it's easy. You use the + control pad to move. The C buttons allow you to boost in the directions, and when your on the ground, C down make you roll. You can also do the same thing with the control pad, just double click it to do it. A is to jump, slide and various things. B is to pick up. While you pick something up, you can shake it, throw it, and some other stuff. You do not punch with Marina, you pick up and throw or shake. If you shake certain things, items will come out. At first, the control is hard, especially when you try to jump high, but once you get the hang of it, it's like riding a bike. This game is really fun! It's very addictive, but very frustrating when you can't pass a level. There is over 50 levels, so there's plenty to do. You also get to be somebody else when Marina is hurt, he can punch, triple jump (not like Mario) and guard. He's really fun! This game has great replay value with all it's levels. My favorite level is when you get to compete in the athletic festival, you get to do 100 meter, 200 M, 300 M, long jump, math fun, dodge ball, and ball catch. I think this is a great game to rent, if not buy! For those of you who like 2-D games, this one's for you!
